I’m Mike, a staffer here @ Ergohuman.com. I was asked to write a staff review about the new Ergohuman V2 Chair V200HRBLK … I’m about 5’7”, have short legs, and I’m about 180 pounds. I’ve heard people say that the Ergohumans aren’t the best chairs for shorter folks like me, but I didn’t have any problems sitting in the Ergohuman V2. My feet remained flat on the ground even at the highest seat height setting. But what struck me most about the V2 was the amazing lumbar and upper back support.
You can feel this support instantly when you sit in the chair. I like to sit straight up for most of the day, and the V2 definitely accommodates me in that regard. And the headrest on this model adds extra comfort and support. There is a headrest-free model, but I’d definitely go with a headrest if I were purchasing an Ergohuman V2. I work in front of a computer desk all day long, and it’s nice to lean your head back and feel that support every now and then.
This chair is really easy to adjust once you figure out where all of the controls are and what they do. Once I did that, it was easy to find my sweet spot and relax. Like most people, I do like to kick back and recline sometimes, and I found the Ergohuman V2’s recline switch quite easy to find and activate. It’s also easy to set the recline tension with a redesigned tension wheel to the right of the seat, though I didn’t feel a huge difference when adjusting the tension control back and forth.
The seat slider switch and the height adjustment switch are really easy to locate and adjust – actually I’d say that the Ergohuman V2 is one of the easiest chairs to adjust, height wise. The mesh seat and back feel very light and airy, but I still felt like the chair was sturdy enough for me. I probably wouldn’t want to sit in a mesh seat all day (if I can do leather, I’m doing leather), but this is probably the most comfy mesh seat I’ve ever experienced.
The redesigned armrests are a great improvement over the armrests on the original design -- I like that you can pivot them back and forth. I like to keep my armrests as close to my desk as possible for lengthier support, and I can do that with the V2.
I did find the seat width almost too narrow – I have a 36-inch waist, and while the seat was wide enough to fit me, I do prefer the wider seat on the original Ergohuman line. Still, I’d be happy sitting in this chair for a good part of my work day – it’s light, sturdy, and very easy to adjust and personalize, and being comfy and happy while your working is really what ergonomics is all about. When compared to other ergonomic chairs on the market, the Ergohuman V2 is an excellent value that will last a lifetime. Excellent construction and a great warranty. (You can't say that about most things these days.) So, yeah, I'm going 5 stars here.

Well made, easy to adjust, and attractive. My complaint is that the plastic sides that support the mesh fabric on the seat pan are narrower on this chair than on the original ME7ERG ergohuman chair. Thus, I can feel these plastic sides pushing on my rear end near the hip. I have a 35 inch waist. I think the seat on the original ergohuman is more comfortable.
